Ask Jenna: Edition #3
Senior Jenna Shahid has been at Trevor for her entire life. As someone who has gone through the school’s historic move to East 95th, watched friends come and go and had her fair share of strict teachers, she surely has a ton of Trevor knowledge under her belt. In her advice column, “Ask Jenna,” she answers students’ pressing questions relating to day-to-day school stitches.
How can I spice up my typical lunch at Trevor?
There are many ways to spice up your lunch! For starters, try the soup of the day. Sometimes, we are so consumed with the other hot food options that we forget about the soup. You can never go wrong with the chicken rice soup—it’s one of my personal favorites. You can also try making a sandwich using ingredients from the salad bar and/or hot food. Now, with toasters available throughout lunchtime, you can even toast your bread!
What’s the best way to study for a tough math exam?
When it comes to math, everyone has their own personal studying technique that varies depending on their personal learning style. I find it helpful to look through notes and redo old homework and quizzes that I find challenging. Before meeting with a math teacher about an upcoming test, I find it helpful to note what I need help with so they can make my review session more worthwhile. Good luck!
Any creative ways to stay organized this winter?
During winter break, try to restock on school supplies. This is the perfect time to buy new pencils, highlighters, graph paper, and looseleaf paper so you’re ready for the new year.
